WHY AND HOW DO I MANAGE MY MOUTH?
The best degree everyone needs to obtain , is mouth control degree. Devil does not know the thought of the heart of any man. But he uses the words of our mouth as his weapon to attack us. Proverbs 18:21 "death and life are in the power of the tongue". Your mouth has a dangerous capacity to destroy you, deal with your destiny and steal your joy.
Just as the mouth can destroy, the mouth has the capacity of building, motivating and steering your destiny, if you invite God to set a watch over the door of your lips Psalm 141:3.
WHY DO I NEED TO MANAGE MY MOUTH?
- It determines my life direction.
- It has the power to change my life either for good or bad.
- It can destroy the people around me.
- It determines who I am or will be.
- It can destroy my credibility (worth or value).
- It can write death, failure or success on my forehead.
- It can send me to hell (Matthew 12:36).
- It has destructive and tormenting power.
The reason God gave us mouth is to use it for His pleasure. Sing praises unto Him. To bless Him and to bless men or to speak positive things into peoples life. anything outside this is contrary to His purpose.
7 IMPORTANT QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF BEFORE YOU SPEAK
- What I want to say,is it true? Even if it is true, do I have to say it?
- Will what I want to say do anybody any good?
- Is it Godly? If not keep quite.
- Does it edify?
- Is the word kind?
- Is the word necessary and timely?
- Is the word inspiring?
I pray that God will give us the grace to manage our mouth to maximize His purpose for our lives in Jesus name, Amen.
